UPDATE: 23rd July
In what can only be described as a very interesting turn of events, I just received an email from the Viewer Advisor at Five, and it seems that the episode of Extraordinary People featuring Derek Ogilvie WILL now be aired after all.
This is the episode that Ogilvie hoped would prove once and for all that he was not a fraud, unfortunately for him, it had the opposite effect as he failed the JREF Million Dollar challenge miserably.

"Charmaine is 43 year-old down-to-earth medium with a healthy sense of competition matched only by her compassion. Known for her accuracy she is highly regarded by the psychic community as one of the best in the country."
Well thats how they describe her on The One's official website. Well I decided to take a look at one of her readings on the show, and see if we should also regard her as being one of the best in the country, unfortunately what I witnessed was bog standard cold reading.
Infact I wonder how she even made it through the preliminary rounds to get on this show.

One of BPTV's Top presenters, William Brougham recently sat in the Audience of Australia's latest "search for a psychic" type show called The One.
He received a reading from contestant and psychic Shé D'Montford.
So how did she do? Well despite being heavily edited, she still bombed as you would expect.
And we have the clip here!
William will soon be making a full report of his experience on the show for BadPsychics TV.
On a recent episode of Channel 4's The Sunday Night Project, guest presenter Barbara Windsor conducted a fake séance to fool an unsuspecting woman.
What follows is completely over the top, and genuinely very funny piece.
And the woman being fooled is absolutely terrified by the ridiculous.
I guess it goes to show that the more ridiculous a séance is the easier it is for someone to fall for it, (you listening Warren?)

"ABC 20/20 Investigates the man who claims he can speak to the dead. Michael Shermer shows how Van Praagh achieves his apparent psychic readings.
At the end of the video Barbara Walters seems a bit upset that Van Praagh is pretty much exposed.
Barbara has been known to believe, she even fell for Uri Gellers tricks back in the 70's, until Randi also fooled her by doing the key bending trick right infront of her and she didn't catch it."
"Psychic Medium Experienced Stage and Platform Demonstrator"
Not sure if that qualifies him to demonstrate the power of washing powders as well as trying to convince us of his psychic abilities but it’s how his website describes him.
This gentleman was brought to Bad Psychic’s attention by one of our forum members and is just finishing his first national tour. We thought he was worth checking out.

After finding Gordon Smith's first Spirit Messengers video just a little on the disappointing side,

I thought I should really give him another chance. I mean, every medium is entitled to a bad reading every now and then.
Gordon's fans are adamant he doesn't do cold reading, and he is far too nice and genuine a person to have to stoop to that type of behaviour, so I definitely wouldn't find any cynical cold or hot reading? Well, as we find out, that might not be quite true.

There is hardly a psychic who didn't try to get their name associated with missing Madeleine McCann at some point. Most sensible people have been truly repulsed by the attempts of these psychic predators to get some name recognition on the back of a missing child. For those unfamiliar with the case, the girl has been missing for over a year, and her whereabouts are still unknown. No one has been charged with any offence in connection with the case.
The list of opportunists who have chanced their arm on this case is long - including such diverse names as Diane Lazarus, Graham Dare, Joe Power, Carol Everett, Amanda Hart, Gordon Smith and everyone's favourite astrologer, Psychic Sarah Delamere-Hurding. I could go on.... However once it was clear they were on a guaranteed loser on this one, most quickly dropped out of the race, quietly forgetting they were ever involved.

"THE MENTALIST stars Golden Globe Award nominee Simon Baker as Patrick Jane, an independent consultant with the California Bureau of Investigation (CBI), who has a remarkable track record for solving serious crimes by using his razor sharp skills of observation.
Within the Bureau, Jane is notorious for his blatant lack of protocol and his semi-celebrity past as a psychic medium, whose paranormal abilities he now admits he feigned.
Jane's role in cracking a series of tough high-profile cases is greatly valued by his fellow agents.
