REVIEW: Most Haunted As-Live Eden Camp Museum Pt 1 - Airdate 11/01/2019

If 2019 hadn't started off bad enough, it gets even worse with the launch of a new season of Most Haunted (And possibly the last to air on REALLY, I hear that UKTV don't want to pay for any more episodes after this run, and Antix will take the series to be an online only show)

Anyway lets jump right into the cesspool of debauchery with some filthy blurb.

"The team investigates Eden Camp. There are strange noises and something that wants to separate the team. Can they stay for the duration or will it prove too much?"

Bizarrely it seems like Yvette Fielding has her eye on the Arsenal job since Arsene Wenger has left the club. I wonder what Unai Emery will have to say about that.

We are introduced to a new suspicious team member called Mary.
Someone who looks incredibly like Yvette. Yes it is her daughter.
And just notice how Glen is looking at the new younger, fitter, stronger version of Yvette! While also holding his hands over his groin. This will not end well!

Glen is in super show off mode trying to impress new younger Yvette, and we cut to a clip of them listening to groans he recorded earlier in private. I wonder what those groans could possibly be?

How funny would it be if New Yvette (Her official new name) is better than old Yvette.

We get a quick history lesson and then despite it being very light outside we have the black and white filters on and they are walking about outside and then into the Museum.

Keep in mind this Museum has CCTV, that covers all areas. Will we see the footage from the CCTV? No of course we wont, don't be silly.

Karl has farted and old Yvette is forced to cover her face. Makes a change for it not to be Yvette.

Yvette is already talking to the German ghosts and has them tapping answers out.
1 for yes 2 for no, 3 for Nein

(The preceding joke was supplied by Pete West @petewest1966)

"Do you know you are dead, 2 for yes, 1 for no?" - Yvette Fielding.

Beardy guy is claiming the floor is moving, (it is not).

They all have very squeeky shoes on which is making a racket on the smooth floors.

Glen is staying very close to New Yvette, definitely wants to keep her safe.

They have heard some noises, yet they have admitted that there is a live cat at the premises. No sign of Watson sadly. But I am guessing New Yvette is the new shiny toy for the group, and poor Watson has been relegated.

Karl has heard footsteps, yet the outside security light had not come on, and only came on when Karl came outside. Therefore these censors cannot detect ghosts. Lets keep that in mind in case they try to use that in the future.

"Can you talk to us using your voice" - Yvette Fielding

Keep in mind that despite them claiming this is "As Live" it will actually have retakes and edits

Yvette is getting Glen to whistle to the ghosts. I wonder, if there are German ghosts present, how will they understand Yvette?

The girls watching the cams have seen something, most likely it is just a bit of fluff near the lens. We don't get any replays since we are supposedly "As Live"

New Yvette hasn't done much yet, why not give her a camera and let her do some talking.

Karl says that it is a bit smoky in the one area they are in, but admits it is a museum affect. But they should all be off. But the fact there are effects available makes things more interesting.

The smoke machine is clearly on and working, but Karl keeps claiming it is off, but it is blatantly on.

The cat is making a lot of noise, which they then follow. The cat to his credit has done more in 5 minutes than Watson has ever done.

New Yvette has clearly stolen 1980s old Yvette's curly perm.

So there is a cat present that is meowing. So literally every noise they hear could be the cat. Could be a mouse the cat is chasing.

Karl is doing his usual "hear a noise, run back and forth" routine. Which gets boring quick.

Stuart has a K2 meter, which is completely useless. Stuarts K2 meter has gone off, and then gets Glen to confirm that Stuart's iPhone 6 is switched off, as if that is proof of ghosts. Despite the fact they have cameras on them, mic packs, walkie talkies, torches and so on. Stuart is convinced there is an energy with them. Yes it is the energy in those multiple electrical devices they have on them.

We then get a ridiculous scene of Glen asking the ghosts to make the K2 meters go to the red light.

Back with New and Old Yvette, and the smoke machine goes off again. Why they don't just unplug it I don't know.

Stuart and Glen are now walking outside and their K2 meters keep going off. They are baffled by this really basic technology.

I expect one of these chairs to move later. Pretty easy to set up with some fishing wire, and the cameras wont be able to pick up the wire so job done.

Everyone meets up again, and before you know it they have split up again. Karl and Stuart team up, so you know some shenanigans should occur soon.

Finally New Yvette is getting a bit more talkative, and while talking with Beardy, she refers to Karl as Dad! I am curious if New Yvette is "in on it".

Beardy reveals that New Yvette is the replacement for Fred. And they have a bit of flirty banter.
If you followed me on Twitter @TheBadPsych you would have heard me exclusively reveal that Fred and Karl had had a falling out. I wonder if they made up for Fred to appear in future episodes?

Stuart has found a ghost cup. Ok not a ghost cup, just a cup. But it might fly later if we are lucky.

The girls in the office hear a noise, the door opened a bit and they panic. They are more entertaining than the rest of the crew.

Of course the door opens OFF CAMERA. They hear another noise and panic even more, and the dark hair lady grabs the boob of the blond lady. Yes for real.

These two are definitely more entertaining than the rest of them. Can we just watch them all night instead?

As Dawn on Twitter @happydawn1 points out, there is a lot less screaming from the likes of Yvette which is a nice change.

Stuart is asking the ghosts to move something, then on cue a bike outside the door moves by itself.

So how does it move? Someone in the hall simply moved it. That's the most obvious explanation.

I have watched it a few times and the bike looks like it is jerked. Most likely with string or something. When they run out, notice how they film away, most likely so the string can be removed. They are also conveniently not on camera themselves, and the audio may have been added later.

The way they film it, I believe Stuart is the one who did it.

Stuart and Karl are trying to convince each other it was a ghost and not Karl who moved the bike, meanwhile Beady and New Yvette are sat on the floor. Beardy clearly taking advantage of the sitting position.

New Yvette is just like Old Yvette and she gets scared by Beardy breathing.

Glen and Old Yvette are still looking at the laptop. Hopefully Glen has his secret folder behind a password.

Hmm a camera is set up to film the door, and low and behold just as the brown haired lady walks off camera the door swings open, almost as if someone pulled it open using a string hidden off camera.

Of course the camera is set up in such a way as to not show the full length of the door.
The doors are clearly very light and swing very easily, so would not take much to do this.

My only issue here is that these girls do seem quite genuine, but the door clearly was pulled open, and it wasn't a ghost. So it had to be them, there is no other explanation.

Karl and Stuart are still talking about the bike.

Looks like Twitter thinks as I did with regards to how it was done.

Stuart and Karl are in the kitchen and there is a firm knocking which they suggest is coming from the door, but is probably Karl just knocking the table or another door OFF CAMERA.

Again they could simply set up a second camera filming both of them and instantly prove they were not behind the knocks.

I really am curious as to how anyone can believe that it is really a ghost?

Old Yvette and Glen are still at the laptop, listening to noises. They are taking it easy this evening it seems.

It is 22:23pm and I thought I would check to see if Most Haunted is trending on Twitter as you know Karl always like to claim it is, and clearly is is NOT trending. Remember Karl will always use the "Trends for you" and then screenshot that, that is NOT the same as UK Trends. Trends for you is literally trends that people who follow you are using, and of course people who follow Karl will be tweeting about Most Haunted.

Back with Karl and Stuart, and they wasting time with the K2 meters again.
Remember when in a previous As Live Karl used his walkie talkie to set off the meters. Just a clue as to how they do it.

Both of them on camera and suddenly everything goes very quiet. Strange that.

There is a noise and a door is closed OFF CAMERA while Stuart is filming in the dark at the sofa.

Suddenly Karl blatantly moves towards where Stuart is and kicks over a bike that is resting against the wall, he then moves back and claims he is at least 6 foot from it.

Again I hate to repeat myself, but a second camera filming them both would instantly prove that Karl didn't just kick it over.

Karl and Stuart are now using the K2 meter to measure how haunted the house is.

They get bored and leave the little bungalow they were in and head back to the main building.

As the episode is nearly over, for some reason they are still filming in black and white despite the fact all of the lights are on.

The 2 ladies are describing their experience with the door opening. Yvette looks very suspicious. I wonder if they told her before hand what they were going to do.

Karl is describing his and Stuart's experiences and is finding it hard to keep a straight face as he tells his story of the bike moving.

They all finish telling their stories, and then describe where they will all go next. And with that the episode ends.

To be fair to them the episode did entertain, but perhaps I am blinkered since I have not seen an episode in a while.

Good points:
New Yvette is an interesting addition to the show, Yes i know it is yet another family member, but she replaces Fred so that can only be good, plus they save money as they don't have to pay her.
The two ladies watching the cams, again they are something different so I like them. Also I highly doubt they were paid, so it is more free crew members.
The cat had some fun and made some noises.
Stuart and Karl made an effort and did some half decent fakery.

Bad points:
No Watson, again Watson is relegated and kept away.
More new people inevitably means more people to fake.
Still the same old same shit type of investigating.
K2 Meters are totally pointless. As are EVPs.
No cutlery or cups were thrown.

So overall there was more good than bad.
I will give this episode a strong 3 out of 10.

REVIEW: Most Haunted - Series 22 Episode 10 (28th October 2018) - Leopard Inn Part 3

We are nearly there, one episode left, then freedom. Let's hope this is a cracker, with lots of tricks, stunts and fakery, otherwise it will just be me bored out of my head.

First up lets take a look into the dark devious world of Yvette and Karl and see what kind of blurbage they have for us.

BLURB:
In the final part at the Leopard Inn, the team experience strange sounds and ever-increasing poltergeist activity. Can they stay until the morning? Only time will tell.

"That without a shadow of a doubt has to be paranormal" - Karl Beattie

We hear Karl say this in a voice over right as the episode starts. Take a close look at those words, without a shadow of a doubt. That means every angle must be covered, there is NO DOUBT, Literally, no doubt, no other explanation.

So I wonder why they have suddenly decided to change 22 series of bad investigating techniques and suddenly do things properly? Well lets wait and see.

Titles roll and we get the usual "Previously on...." segment to fill a few minutes of air time.

We start off with the cliff hanger. Karl hears a giggle that he adds in post production, he turns around the corner and a doll has been placed on the floor OFF CAMERA.

Karl is pretending to be scared so he leaves the area, instead of setting up static cameras on the doll.

Yvette is now hearing things. Glen hears something so runs towards the stairs, asks Yvette if they should go up to investigate, Yvette gives the game away and says they need to stay where they are as Karl is upstairs.

We flit from one group to another, all are hearing noises but everything is OFF CAMERA as usual.

With Karl and a door is slammed behind him and OFF CAMERA. As he turns the camera to film himself, a door that was in front of him slams itself OFF CAMERA.

With Stuart now and something has been thrown OFF CAMERA.

Yvette is trying to get the ghost children to play, but they don't care and ignore her.

Yvette keeps chucking a doll down a hall way hoping the ghost will throw it back, SPOILER, it doesn't.

Back with Karl and more doors are slamming OFF CAMERA.
A chair is dragged behind Karl and OFF CAMERA.

Back with Stuart and there is now a hilarious scene.

There is a noise maybe a door slam, and Stuart runs into one room, and the terrified beardy cameraman runs into another shitting his pants. Its so pathetic, but it is quite funny.

Yvette has chucked the doll and is asking the ghosts to drag it into the nursery, this is the perfect shot to have a bit of fishing wire and Karl pull it from an OFF CAMERA position, will they do it?
Sadly no, they just go past the doll and check Glens laptop.

Yvette chucks the doll again and asks the ghosts to chuck it back. Nothing happens.
They check the laptop for EVPs which as we all know is a waste of time.
Straight away they have picked up a noise and Yvette admits that it sounds like a cat, we then get a few replays and Yvette now says it could be a child.

It sounds like a bird to me.

We get a good few minutes of EVP checks, all a bit boring.

Back with Karl and he admits that "nothing will show itself if it is on bloody camera"
Yes Karl we know, because you only have 2 cameras, and you are the one making the noises and throwing things!

Another door slam, cue swearing from Karl, everything OFF CAMERA of course.

About half way through the episode now and there is a definite trend of things happening OFF CAMERA. Getting boring now.

Karl is making scared noises like a small child.

Another door slams, OFF CAMERA.

Instead of investigating and setting up multiple cameras to cover the various doors, he just decides to leave.

And at this point he delivers his line about it being without a shadow of a doubt paranormal, yet he has not actually done any investigating, he has walked up and down a bit, doors have closed OFF CAMERA. So the reality is there is a HUGE amount of doubt as to the nature of the doors slamming. And to declare this as paranormal is utter amateurish nonsense.

With Stuart and Beardy, and they are still trying to convince us that we are seeing night vision, they even turn off the big light on top of the camera as if to say this is what they can see, and then puts the light back on as if that is the night vision. Sorry but the picture is too clear to be night vision. It is such a lie.

True night vision in true low light conditions is grainy. Their images are almost crystal clear, and you can even see where the light of the camera is pointing. Night vision shows everything, but their fake night vision only shows where they are pointing.

They claim that this chair has been thrown, but off course it was OFF CAMERA.

Yvette and Glen are still looking at the EVPs on the laptop, desperately trying to find anything vaguely interesting.

So far this entire episode has just been a repeat of the first two parts.

Why do idiot paranormal investigators turn all the lights off then use torches to see where they are going? Just a thought of how ridiculous this whole genre is.

Still no sign of Fred, I am sure they previewed him talking at the end of the last episode.

It amuses me how when they hear a footstep or a noise they walk in the general direction saying "hello, hello"

Karl doesn't know what to do next, eventually decides to go back and see the others. Stuart thanks the ghosts as they leave.

Yvette is with Glen and getting all scared, Glen is loving it as Yvette is creeping up all close on him.

You can tell Glen is feeling all manly right here.

Glen is now fully erect, he has not had this much close contact in years.

Yvette is convinced there is a ghost, but of course the cameraman is filming them instead of where they are looking, which means if anything did happen it would be OFF CAMERA.

Glen leads Yvette into the darkness. Where anything could happen and he could just blame the ghosts!

They finish crawling from wherever they are, and suddenly beardy makes a HUGE admission as he says "oh hello daylight"

So despite what they claim, they have now admitted this was filmed during daylight hours.
Very surprised Karl missed this in the edit.

To finish off the episode they decide to have a group seance in what was believed to be the children's nursery.

Such a small lightweight table. I am sure everyone has seen magicians do much more with much bigger tables.

The claim the table is shaking, but you cant see it on camera.
The table starts to twist ever so slightly, but you cant see everyone's feet, so could be anyone doing it.

Looks like Karl is pushing the table with his left leg which is clearly pressed against the table leg. He moves his knees back and the table the moves some more, this time it is Karl's foot moving it, if you watch really really closely you can just about make it out.

The table moves a bit but ONLY when someone is firmly touching it. And then the episode ends.

No evidence of the paranormal. Nothing caught on camera. Another waste of an episode.
More lies exposed.

I will admit it was a somewhat entertaining episode. But it got very repetitive and tedious quite quickly.
Over the 3 episodes at the Leopard Inn, the only thing of note that happens was the doll being chucked from an OFF CAMERA position. And even that was not really looked at much other than a couple of replays.

A poor ending to what has been a very poor series.
But at least now I can have a break from watching this crap. Maybe I should go do an investigation of my own!

1 out of 10.

REVIEW: Most Haunted - Series 22 Episode 09 (27th October 2018) - Leopard Inn Part 2

Just 2 episodes left, then freedom, back to normality.
As I do not frequent the Most Haunted forums, facebook pages and so on, please let me know the general consensus of the fans with regards to the doll being thrown in the previous episode, as I am genuinely curious as to whether anyone fell for it. Since that was the single biggest event of the previous episode, they seemed to skip past it pretty quick, and then get excited about taps and knocks.

Anyway here is some filthy sticky blurbage for you

BLURB:
Still at the Leopard Inn, Yvette has a close encounter in the corridors with disembodied footsteps walking toward her and aggressive poltergeist activity plagues the team.

With 10 people present. Footsteps, taps, knocks, are NOT evidence of the paranormal, just a quick starting point for you all.

"This place is definitely haunted" - Yvette Fielding

Remember when Yvette would go on TV shows, claim to be skeptical, say that they are just showing you the evidence and letting people at home make their own minds up? Yeah well that is out of the window now.

The fact they air her saying that right after the "This show is for entertainment purposes only" is all you need to know. It is very much like they are sticking two fingers up to OFCOM knowing full well their idiot fans will believe her and ignore an official regulatory body who simply is not allowed to lie.

We get the usual "previously on MH clip" showing the doors closing on their own OFF CAMERA, as well as all of the other OFF CAMERA incidents, and the various taps and knocking which prove nothing.

Straight back into the investigation, and beardy bloke claims to have heard something in his ear, could simply be the cameraman making the noise, and beardy over reacting.

Stuart is now claiming to be struggling to breath.
Instead of calling 999, he carries on investigating.
After 10 seconds he is clearly breathing normal, which would lead me to believe he was lying for dramatic effect.

Karl and Stuart are now going up and down the corridor with only one camera, and things keep happening in the opposite direction to what they are moving in. So 100% OFF CAMERA.

Ok here we have 3 shots in one, only getting audio from the Yvette shot. But Stuart and Glen are talking, we are being lead to believe all three shots are happening at the same time. This is FALSE. This is not true. There is no satellite feed. This is not a live broadcast. All three shots were filmed and recorded independently, and perhaps at least 2 of them with the exact same camera. The Stuart shot could have been filmed one hour after the Glen shot.

As far as I am concerned shots like this are misleading and are only done to push a narrative and convince the viewer that everyone is busy and in separate parts of the location.

Question everything!

We now get a lot of running around. A chair has appeared in the middle of the corridor, apparently thrown or placed OFF CAMERA. Could just have been Stuart, walking along and he thinks "I will put this chair here for fun". That is a million times more likely than any ghost doing it, especially since the ghost refuses to do it on camera.

Because Most Haunted refuses to investigate in a credible manner, and because they have never ever not once ever presented a single piece of credibly evidence, everything on the show that is presented is presented on the understanding that the viewer trusts Most Haunted are telling the truth. Simple as that, watching this show and believing in what happens comes down to your faith in Karl and Yvette.

Yet we know Karl lied and got exposed for being a fake Samurai in the mid 2000s. He literally went on TV shows and made the claim purely because The Last Samurai movie was coming out and he wanted to get some PR from that. So we know Karl lies. We have exposed on this very site so many times when they have lied to you. So even if you ignore everything we say. I just ask you use some common sense. Even if you believe they are telling the truth, why do they investigate in such a manner that leaves them so open to accusations of fakery? Why don't they put in place the most simple of controls that would eliminate fraud?

I try to suggest how they could do this, but they never do, so ask yourself why?

"What we want is it to be seen on camera, and people ask why we don't have locked off cameras, but the thing is we do have locked off cameras, but sometimes the range, you know your little go pros, the go pros aren't strong enough" - Yvette Fielding

"Depends where you point them as well, we could have 100 and still not cover the whole place" - Beardy Bloke.

Literally after I had typed my spiel they said the above on the show.

So show us the Go Pro footage? Have they ever shown a single piece of footage from a Go Pro?
Why doesn't every crew member have a body cam, like the police, another idea for you.

Why is it that every single time something happens, we only ever have one angle, and the thing that happens is OFF CAMERA?

Where are you placing these so called Go Pro cameras you have? Why aren't you placing them in an area as soon as you claim to have activity?

You try to answer the criticisms, but you expose yourself further and your ignorance by doing so.
Some of the locations you investigate are tiny, you only work in 3 or 4 rooms.
And again where is the CCTV footage? Or do you make the owners turn the CCTV off and sign non disclosure agreements? Why do you do that? Scared that they might leak to the papers footage of Karl and Stuart setting a stunt up?

Yvette just claimed "everyone is accounted for"
Remember in a previous episode when I stated that everyone has walkie talkies and everyone knows where everyone is at all times, well Yvette just confirmed it for me.

Yvette meets up with Karl and Stuart and they compare stories, in this segment Yvette admits she could hear them upstairs. So if she could hear them so easily, that would go to suggest that if you hear taps, knocks, footsteps etc, it could simply be someone else in the location.

We cut to Glen who claims he is completely and utterly lost in the cellar.

Poor Glen and his child's scarf.

They all meet up and then split off again for solo "VIDGUALS"

So they are now claiming to have 5 broadcast quality cameras in action at the same time.
As well as the so called locked off cameras that we never see any footage from.

With Karl and suddenly the music box from the previous episode has been opened and is playing. So quickly Karl runs to the room and finds it. Of course anyone could have just opened it, as there was no camera filming it. And since they said they hoped a ghost would make it play, seems strange they didn't put a camera on it.

With Stuart and he hears running footsteps, OFF CAMERA, then as he looks down a corridor, a door slowly opens by itself ON CAMERA! Yes on camera!

There is no video edit. This is a one take scene. So how do they do it, in the room there is no second door. The trick on this is simple, notice how Stuart keeps the camera high up. This is so ghost Karl who is crouched down on the floor is out of shot, as Stuart enters the room he suspicious films towards the window meaning the area to the direct left of the door is completely hidden, a crouched down ghost Karl simply crawls out of the room at this point, and Stuart is then free to film anywhere he likes.

Now a proper investigator would have put a camera outside of the room to film the back of Stuart as he goes in, just to prove no one leaves the room craftily.

Very easy trick to do, you could practice the shot a couple of times to know where to point the camera and then do it.

But a nice scene I will give them that. And well choreographed.

Glen can hear knocking from above him, but admits it could be another team, so right there he has admitted it is easy to hear other people in the location.

Half way through the episode now.

With Stuart and another door has opened slightly. Again he goes in but leaves the space to the right of the door off camera allowing the hidden ghost Karl to creep out.

Back with Karl and the music box has started playing again, and despite this already happening once already, he STILL did not leave a static camera to film it. So instantly all of their claims are utterly debunked, they have NO GoPros, they have no common sense, and they are lying to you. He could get the smartphone out of his pocket, put it on record prop it up somewhere and leave it to film the music box.

Karl is hearing more bangs and footsteps.

Back with Stuart and he is hearing footsteps too, so he SLOWLY walks down the corridor, almost as if he is carrying something heavy with his other hand. Suddenly there is a bang and a chair drops right behind Stuart and OFF CAMERA.

No static camera shots, no secondary footage, no GoPro shots, nothing. Just Stuart walking along with one camera.

We are supposed to believe a decent sized chair has just been thrown at Stuart, yet if that happened for real to me, I would call everyone together, set up multiple cameras and wait.

Instead Stuart brushes it off as if it is nothing and carries on.

He hears a bang and as he turns around a door has opened on its own, this time I think he just kicked it.

Funnily enough, Glen who is on his own in the bar area is just chilling out and nothing has happened.
Guessing that is why we have not seen much of him these two episodes. As useless as Glen is, I do not believe he deliberately fakes anything, of course he knows the others do, and has witnessed them faking first hand, but he himself does not throw things.

10 minutes left and this cant finish quick enough, It has all got a bit silly and repetitive now.

Karl is hearing things that he will later add in post production, which is clever if you think about it.

Yvette is asking the ghosts to do something before she leaves. They ignore her.
Despite Yvette claiming the temperature is dropping quickly, there is no visible breath showing from any of the crew.

Karl claims a door has closed on it own OFF CAMERA.
He then opens the door but pretends it is really hard to do as if someone is pushing back.

We cut between all the various crew and all of them saying they are done.
Have they all forgot this is a 3 part investigation?

Glen is the only honest person in this episode with regards to the footage from his investigating, as nothing has happened, nothing at all. And the reality is if the whole crew were not faking, then they would all have the same experience.

Stuart is now claiming to have stabbing pains in the side of his chest. Of course he does not dial 999 and get paramedics to check him out, instead he just says he will carry on.

Final shot with Karl and he asks the ghosts to do something before he goes, and just as his post production edit of a child giggling is played the episode ends.

A few previews of the next episode and looks like we will get more stuff being thrown, some table tipping and some glass divination. Such joy. But also strangely we hear that Fred will be in the next episode? Unless it wasn't his voice. He hasn't appeared so far. That is a big mystery.

Episode ends.

Well much like the previous episode they have made an effort and I do appreciate that. Stuart did the best stunts with the door opening, and dropping a chair behind him.

But again the fact remains, nothing happened ON CAMERA. everything was OFF CAMERA.
This is a total fail if you look at things purely from an investigating angle.

I score this episode 1 out of 10 again, they made an effort but it was still not good enough.

REVIEW: Most Haunted - Series 22 Episode 08 (26th October 2018) - Leopard Inn Part 1

Today is my Birthday! And yes even on my birthday I put my celebrations to the side, I leave my presents to be opened later, and instead I sit down to review an episode of Most Haunted.

I think maybe the woos are right when they say I must lead a very sad life.
Well don't you worry, I am celebrating it proper tomorrow night. Where I will be making first contact with the Spirits one on one! "I am getting a J name, and a D name, does Jack mean anything to you? And Daniel or Daniels?"

Blurb:
The upper floors of the Leopard Inn are now deserted rooms and corridors that were once part of a Victorian hotel, and some of the boarders seem to have stayed.

When there is not enough money to do 10 separate investigations for a series of 10 episodes, what do you do? You double up. But with 3 episodes left to be filled, but only enough money to pay for one investigation, that means we get a three parter. And this is part 1. So expect there to be a LOT of shenanigans in these episodes. We have had a right few stinkers, and last nights episode (7) was an utter disgrace when it comes to making a TV show, the most lazy episode in the history of Most Haunted. So with this being the first of a three parter I have high hopes.

And we are at ANOTHER pub/hotel. But wait what is that 4 legged creature I see. IT'S WATSON! Boom! That is a guaranteed 1 point out of 10 for tonight's episode. Fingers crossed for Lou's Bum Bag and we are truly in business.

Worth noting that the Pub is on a main road, like right on the road, so anyone making noises outside will easily be heard inside.

We are primed by Yvette in the voice over that this is one of the most haunted locations in the entire country. Yet despite this Watson is walking about without a care in the world.

Do the ghosts hide during the day? Despite the fact that most ghost sightings are during the day. Just a few flaws for you to think about.

Did you know that despite what they may lead you to believe, Most Haunted only actually film for a couple of hours in any location, the rest of the time they sit about having cups of tea and then go home.

We are then shown a shot of a corridor, from a static camera, and doors are closing on their own OFF CAMERA. Karl and Stuart run out grab the camera and go check in the rooms to show there is no one in there.

Seems strange that they would leave a camera filming a corridor in the middle of the day, while they are in another room talking. Almost as if the whole scene was set up.

Very easy to fake the doors closing on there own. And at no point do you actually see any doors close, you just hear them close, or see shadows of the doors.

Hilariously we are now in another corridor with a static camera filming, and a doll is chucked from an OFF CAMERA position, into the corridor, this is so fake but quite amusing.

Karl takes a good 10 seconds to get the camera off its tripod and approach the room, giving Stuart, sorry I mean the ghosts plenty of time to hide.

One of the tricks that magicians will use is making you believe you are seeing an entire scene but in fact the angle of the camera is masking exactly where the magic is happening. So for example, note how during these scenes the camera will enter the room filming quite high, this is so the ghost Stuart who is crouched down by the door can simply crawl out of shot out of the room and stay behind Karl. Then as Karl is in the room and looking around the ghost Stuart can bugger off.

Any time a camera films up in a suspicious manner, you can assume that is the reason why.

HOWEVER in this case, this is not how they did the doll throwing trick. (in my opinion)

The doll is physically thrown by someone in the room, after it lands and has stopped moving the shot is cut, whoever threw it (Ghost Stuart) then leaves the room, filming is resumed, and then Karl picks the camera up off the tripod. You see by having the camera static like this, it means you can cut the footage without much of a chance of anything in the shot changing. Although they have been caught out a few times, I am reminded of the cabinet door slamming, but a clock on the wall giving away the fact 18 seconds was cut.

If you don't believe me, watch the doll throwing scene on as big a screen as you can, and you will see the tiniest of imperfections as the scene is cut and restarted. The audio of Karl is added in post production to give the impression it is all one shot. Also note the fake cobweb hanging down, this is moving, the cut is AFTER Karl has moved the camera, he then sets it down and then there is the cut when the upper cobweb which was moving is now out of shot.

So two possible ways for them to perform this trick. A simple camera edit is the easiest to do. But a ghost Stuart hiding and then escaping either from the other door or by crawling out is also pretty easy to do. Any noises he makes are easily covered by Karl muting the sound when he swears.

Glen has now arrived, Watson is no where to be seen. I have heard that Watson does not like Glen.

And before you know it they start hearing taps.

TAPS ARE NOT EVIDENCE OF GHOSTS!
After the previous episode I am truly sick of taps and knocks, such a waste of time and I will now ignore any segments of them talking about taps and knocks.

As Yvette and Glen's tapping segment is finishing, Karl nearly drops the camera, and blames the ghosts.

Yvette has now met up with the rest of the crew, and claims to have seen an orb with her bare eyes! Of course this was OFF CAMERA.

Stuart makes a slight breathy noise, and Yvette claims it is a growl, yet clearly it was nothing of the sort.

Half way through the episode.

Yvette is asking the ghosts to make a noise with their face holes. Karl points out the noise of the traffic outside, but says it is obvious what is outside and what is inside.

More taps and knocks. BORING!

If you sat in any old British house that has a wood frame, wooden floors etc and just sat in silence, you will hear knocks, creaks, it is just normal noises, it is the house breathing, as temperatures drop wood contracts. Air pressure in a house can make things move. Open a door of a closed room and you are creating pressure.

Have you ever noticed how every single time a crew member sees something like a shadow, or a "white shape" it is ALWAYS in the opposite direction to what the camera is filming in.

OMG They have caught an actual apparition! I can clearly see a ghost Yvette right behind human Yvette!

Suddenly a fork is thrown OFF CAMERA.
As they examine a fork, another piece of cutlery is thrown OFF CAMERA.

As I seem to repeat myself all the time, after the first thing is thrown any REAL investigator would set up multiple cameras covering every angle and every person. This is cheap to do as everyone has smart phones. If you believe the lies from the last episode they have at least 7 broadcast quality cameras too. Yet instead what do we get, Karl filming himself, and Stuart filming Karl filming himself.

We are 30 minutes in, and this is dragging a bit. As it is the same nonsense over and over again.

Every time something is thrown it is always behind either Karl or Stuart just as they are filming in the opposite direction. For any doubters, they simply have the item in a pocket and when filming with one hand they throw the item behind them with the other.

The lack of any of it ever caught on camera is proof it is not ghosts. Just think, this is series 22, and they have never ever, not once, never caught anything being thrown from it's start position. Even by pure blind luck, if any of this was real they would have caught something. Not to mention the sheer amount of CCTV that also films everything, we never see any footage from any location from the CCTV. Now ask yourself why.

Glen is on his own looking at a chair that is doing chair like stuff.

Yvette is wondering why the ghosts are throwing cutlery and not big things. I am guessing that ghost Stuart cant fit a chair in his pocket.

Also no sign of Fred this episode.

Yvette throws the cutlery down the corridor, and they film the corridor in the hope the ghosts throw the cutlery back, as expected nothing happens.

We then get a voice over, and Yvette is telling us that after she asked the ghost to say hello, in the sound edit they heard something very faint. So we get the enhanced sound, and yes it sounds like someone saying hello.

However since we have multiple people present and anyone can easily say hello under their breath without moving their lips, the obvious solution is that someone present said it, but it was not heard live, and then they found it in the edit. It could also easily have been added in post production. Yvette claims it is one of their best pieces of voice phenomena to date. But evidentially it holds no weight and can be easily dismissed.

Glen has been very quiet today, I am guessing they are saving his bits to fill up part 2 and 3.

Yvette is hearing breathing/growling noises in the toilet.
We then hear another breathy noise as Karl starts to speak.
We then get multiple replays, also bizarrely they debunk themselves, as they show the footage from Stuart's camera which does NOT pick up any noise. So only Karl's camera picked it up. Listening to it carefully it sounds like this is a post production edit and not something that was actually picked up at the time.

Yvette has made some graffiti on the floor, writing an alphabet and asks the ghosts to tap for her. But because who normally does the taps cant see clearly enough, there is no response and Yvette says they will come back to it later.

We then get another disembodied voice. This time it says "Demon"

Again to me it sounds like a post production edit.

Remember how they have a fake name in the credits as the person who edits the show, and we showed everyone it was really Karl?

Back with Glen and he hears some footsteps and correctly states it is just the other team. However we get this flash up on screen.

Clearly Glen will know where the others are, they all know where each other is at all times, they are on walkie talkies, they don't want someone walking into the back of someones shot etc. So this is just another attempt to convince viewers more is going on.

Yvette claims she can feel pressure on her Adams apple, like someone is trying to choke her. I think she might be remembering some of her late night sexcapades with a certain smug man who likes to keep his hands in his pockets.

And with that the episode ends.

Now you might watch this and think that a lot happened, but let's take a look at what actual evidence they caught. Erm..... Nothing. EVERYTHING that happened happened OFF CAMERA. The doll being thrown came from OFF CAMERA, the cutlery being thrown was thrown OFF CAMERA. The breathing sounds etc could all easily be added in post production, if not performed live by someone OFF CAMERA.

They didn't capture a single unexplained event in this episode, but I am sure if you read the comments from the fans after this episode has aired they will be convinced the place is haunted and that Most Haunted caught some of their best ever evidence.

Also other than the opening shot, Watson never appeared again, I guess they didn't want him chasing after the cutlery and bringing it back to Karl or Stuart.

And Lou's bum bag also did not appear.

I will however give this episode a 2 out of 10. They did make the effort with the doll, they did throw some forks and spoons about, and Karl did spend 10 minutes in the edit room adding some sound effects, so at least they made the effort, and if you compare that to the previous episode where they were just lazy, I can admit I appreciate it, even if it is all fake as hell, and only a fool would think any of it was real.

REVIEW: Most Haunted - Series 22 Episode 07 (25th October 2018) - Ancient High House in Stafford

I have been thinking, usually when they air episodes once a week, I have a whole week to dread having to write the review, at least with the episodes airing every night, I can get them out of the way nice and quickly, and when the series is done I can go back to being a normal human being, and not having to watch god awful fake TV, instead I can watch WWE Professional Wrestling and watch Giants fight Midgets. Now that is real life!

And with that here is some Blurbage I found on the foot of a Giant.

Blurb:
More ghoulish fun. The team are at the Ancient High House in Stafford which is said to be haunted by long-dead spirits. There, Gregg feels something is playing with him.

First of all this is not a two part episode! So that's a nice relief.

I suspect this episode will be another borefest sadly.

It is opening shots like this that makes me wish that someone like Kelly Brook was hosting this show. Now she would definitely bring in the ratings.

The lack of build up, "upcoming on" vignettes etc, is really making me think they will phone this episode in. So I am truly dreading watching this episode.

I will however do my best for you guys to make it vaguely entertaining.

4 minutes in and Glen has already arrived. I guess we gonna get a lot of chat now to fill time.

Already they are getting tapping and knocking. Glen correctly points out how creaky the wooden floor is, but this is dismissed by expert Yvette, and it is definitely ghosts, and not of the many many people present.

In the last episode we saw how Glen might approach a woman in a club to chat them up, well here we get to see him in mid chat up. Notice how the one leg is crossed over the ever, showing a powerful yet casual stance.

Yvette is now manhandling the rocking chair in the hope that the ghosts will repeat the knocking sound.

Some more knocks and the sound of a door closing OFF CAMERA.

Glen is doing his best to be skeptical, but is quickly shut down by Yvette.

The walk around is done after 10 minutes and the investigation proper begins as they pretend to turn off the lights.

Everyone is quickly split up into solo "vidguals".

The Ancient High House in Stafford is a museum, so a lot of mannequins which are always spooky, plus as a tourist location there has to be lots of stories made up to get the punters in.

As we go from person to person they are all making the same claims, footsteps, tapping and so on.
Also we are supposed to believe that each person has their own camera, and they are all investigating at the same time. THIS IS NOT TRUE. We know they at most have 3 cameras, sometimes only 2. So the idea they all have their own camera is nonsense. This will be filmed 2 at a time at most, and then all edited together to make it appear they are all investigating at the same time.

So at any point of filming, the rest of the crew will just be standing about possibly outside the room of the solo "Vidgual", so any knocks, noises, tapping etc, is easily put down to someone just outside.

Shame none of these have mechanical elements inside to make them move, that would be funny.

Yvette shows us her "O FACE".

Never felt sorry for Karl before.

Also she is hearing taps etc, you can also clearly hear other people talking, whether that is people outside on the street or others in the location. So the location is not controlled in any way.

We then get a reply showing the sound of a girl laughing, as I said the location is not controlled in any way.

The quick switching between people and then all of them saying they can hear knocks is getting boring quick.
Lets take their claims at face value, and say that they are all investigating in different rooms on their own. They would all be in adjacent rooms, they are all knocking and asking for ghosts to repeat it, they could literally just be hearing each other do that, any footsteps are just the person in the next room, any talking is just crew members taking a break, and woman's laugh could be Yvette or Lou or some random make up lady laughing.

This is NOT a serious investigation. And that is if you take their claims at face value, despite the fact we know they have lied by claiming everyone has their own camera and is investigating different rooms on their own.

So come on fans of Most Haunted, which is it? They are either lying about their investigations or they are hearing each other. This is no different to you being sat in your bedroom and a sibling being in the next room and you hear them move about, or you hear a parent come up their stairs. You MH fans are young, I get it, but you also cant be that stupid as to think ghosts are making these noises.

20 minutes in and I am going stir crazy. No Watson to amuse me, no Lou to shake her bum bag.

Also because they are in a museum, I highly doubt anything will be thrown since they would have been strictly told not to touch anything behind the barriers.

I am getting seriously frustrated now because they are making no effort to even pretend to be serious. They are claiming they can hear footsteps but those footsteps we know are just other crew members walking about in various rooms.

In one way you could say they are not faking anything, they are just being either incredibly ignorant, or knowingly ignorant of what is going on and then filming themselves looking all surprised and excited.

The solo "vidguals" are finally over and they have paired up.

"Is anyone there, knock once for yes, twice for no"

This whole episode is just taps and knocks, possibly the most lazy way of making a paranormal investigation spoof TV show.

Anyway if you follow me on Twitter you may have seen a rumour I exclusively revealed. Now I will repeat it here, but I will also make it very clear I have not confirmed this, so it is just an unfounded rumour, but it did come from a very reliable source (Most Haunted Mole). The rumour is that Karl Beattie and Fred Batt have had a bit of a falling out. Apparently Fred is a bit sick of it all, and has had enough, now for those in the know, Fred Batt pretty much bankrolls the whole show, he pays for everything, so without him there is no show. For now he is still involved, but the future is very uncertain, especially if Fred decides to leave. The money from UKTV is no where near enough to make episodes, which is why they do the live events, as that is where they make money. The future is uncertain.

While I wrote that various people heard knocks and taps. Nothing else happened.

30 minutes gone, and you can now clearly and quite loudly hear people outside on the street talking, shouting, playing etc.

Out comes the Ouija Board, or as Yvette called it "The Tapping Board".

These ghosts are so boring.

Ok so Yvette is gonna point at a letter and if the ghost taps then that will be the letter used to spell out the name. Seems like a hard way to do things.

For the record it is not an actual Ouija Board, it is a photo of one on Glen's laptop.

The ghost is spelling out the name WILLIAM, it always seems to be William.

We get a replay of what we are told is a child's cough, could be anything.

They are trying to talk to this ghost, but the subject matter is so tedious it makes me want to poke my eyes out with a fork.

Karl has literally pulled up the info on this person on his phone, and then Yvette is asking the ghost to confirm with taps, Karl could literally just be tapping his foot here since he already knows the answer.

Yvette gets excited after Fred confirms the various names that have been spelled out.

As this episode comes to an end. I am not sure what to say. I though the Ruthin Hall episode was the worst I had ever seen, this episode might be even worse.

"Knocking is my favourite thing" - Glen

Nothing is thrown in this episode. No one faints, no one falls, nothing happens. The episode is a failure.

I refuse to even give this episode a no score, it does not deserve it.

Episode Ends. Horrible.
